About

Waupun Robotics is a club at the Waupun High School where we compete in VEX Robotics competitions each year. Each year there´s an essential challenge that we must build our robot around. There is a lot to be done on these robots--we need to code them, build them, and when that doesn´t work we start again. So come join our club where you will learn to code, build, and make new friendships

When

Every year there is a new game or challenge.  It gets released in April/ May.  Then the club gets to work creating their robots. Robotics runs pretty much all year round.

Activities

The Robotics Club does a bunch of things starting with creating the robots to competing in weekend competitions to see which robot does the best against other schools.  There are State Competitions March 11-12 then Nationals and Worlds follow that.

Triston Rockwell

Founding Member

I have been in robotics for 6 years, being one of the founders of the club alongside Andrew Ramthun and Cameron Pokorny. I joined the club to have fun with my friends and challenge myself in the engineering field. Over the years, we've had our ups and downs but in the end, we always have a good time building robots, solving problems, and taking ourselves to the next level. Furthermore, being in the Robotics Club introduces you to new people, new opportunities, and learning more about yourself and your way of thinking.

"Robotics is very fun but challenging. I think everyone should try it out"

Triston Rockwell - Season Reflection

Our 2021-2022 robotics season was excellent for me and my team. This is my last year in Waupun Area Robotics but I plan on doing a similar activity in college. Our team only went to 4 competitions this year including going to Green Bay to compete at Lambeau Field. Over the season, we learned valuable lessons such as teamwork, problem-solving, and efficiency.
